MYSTERIOUS SUICIDE.

• ♦ : — . * THREE DAYS UNDISCOVERED. Acting on information supplied by several boys yesterday, the .police this morning resumed their search for the body of the supposed suicide in the I small piece of bush just beyond Dyer's Paas at the head of the road. The search party had been out last night until ten o'clock, unable to find the body, but this morning, at three o'clock, they found it near the bottom of the little gully, between two trees, and partially obscured by the bush. It was in a sitting position, with a scarf tightly tied round the neck, and from it a piece of string- tied to one of the trees. Death was found to be due to strangulation. The body was conveyed to the Morgue, where it lies unidentified. It had apparently been hanging foY three days. It was to all appearances that of a. iiiian between thirtyfive and forty years of age, 6ft l£in high, of slim build, with, prominent teeth and tiheek-bones, brown hair, turning grey, and clean-shaven chin. The body Was dressed in a light coat and vest, and a lighter coloured pair of trousers, with a grey skull-cap, a black macintosh, well worn, and heavy balmorai ibects, • with protectors on the heels. In the pockets were a piece of soap, a razor, two pocket-knives and a small looking-glass.
