FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
DEATH FROM DRINK AND EX- , POSURE. [Pan Paras Association.] INVERCARGILL, July 5. Edward Finn, a farmer of Edendale, in stepping otf a moving train at Waino last night fell, and the carriage out off his leg below the knee. He died in Riverton Hospital to-day. John Heywood, rabbiter, a single man, aged ebtty, who nad been on a drinking bout,* died suddenly at Wyndham last night. He returned from Inveroargill on Tuesday and obtained a further lupply of liquor a£-a country hotel. Medical opinion ia that death was due to drink and exposure. DUNEDIN, July 5. George Cook, aged nineteen, was killed at Blackburn Camp, Halleiid, year Ralclupha, Last night, by a nub falling on him.
