A RACECOURSE ACCIDENT.
[Put Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 6. While being taken on to the track at Ellerslie thifl morning the horse Chief Steward bolted with his rider, named Blake, throwing him heavily against a post. Blake had a thigh fractured and his head cut, and had a miraculous escape from fatal injuries.
