[Per Press Association.] TIMARU, March 29. The South Canterbury Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting opened on the Washdyke Racecourse to-day, in fine weather. There was, a large attendance. The following are results up to the time of going to press:— ROSEWILL HANDICAP, of 40 bovb; six furlongs—Grand Staad, 9st 61b, 1; Robobloom, 7st 101 b, 2; Mangrove, Bst 21b, Sj Time—lmin 17sec. Dividends—£4 18s and £3 18s. TIMARU CUP, of 100 soys; one mile and a quarter—Convoy, 9st, 1; Beau Seaton, £st 61b, 2; Somaroff, 7st 12lb, 3. Time 2min 9Jsec. Dividends—£l 18s and JE2 10s.
