SHEPHERD DROWNED.

[Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, January, 15. Frank Little, head shepherd to Mr G. C. Ormond, Mahia, waa drowned at Apouta-ma yesterday. Two telegraph linemen, -riding along the beach saw Little, who was . some distance ahead, fall off his horse into the eurf. Thay galloped to hie assistance, but on reaching him found that life was extinct.
