ATTEMPT TO DYNAMIC THE SULTAN.

TWENTY-FOUR PERSONS KILLED

United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. (Received July 24, 5.23 a.m.)

CONSTANTINOPLE, July 23

The bomb killed twenty-four and wounded twenty-seven, mostly soldiers lining tho route. The Sultan was entering his carriage at the time of the explosion, and several waiting carriages were smashed to atoms. Two Bul-gax-ians hare been arrested. Other accounts suggest that a subterranean mine, controlled by clockwork, was the means used in this attempt on the Sultan's life.

(Last night's cable message on the subject said: — As tho Sftltan was leaving the Royal Mosque, after selarnlik, a bomb burst in the courtyard. The Sultan had a narrow escape, and several of his suite were killed or wounded.)
