THE INDIAN ARMY.

THE VICEROY'S SPEECH

United Prees Association— By Electrio Telegraph— Copyright. (Received July 22, 8.47 a.m.)

LONDON, July 21

The text of Lord Curzon's speech has been published. There is no attack on the Government in it, though it is outspoken. • It . attracted but little criticism in India, where it is generally

approved.

(Owing to Lord Curzon's criticisms on the scheme of Mr Brodrick, Secretary for India, for the reorganisation of the Indian army, and questions in Parliament, Mr Brodrick demanded a copy of the entire text of the speech.)
