PUBLISHED AT 4 P.M. CRICKET.

THE AUSTRALIAN BOARD OF CONTROL.

United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received J,une 24, 9.2 a-m.)

LONDON, June 23

Maclaren, in an article in the " Chronicle," criticises the self-formed Board of Control for cricket, and says it is a pity that the Sydney Cricket Association frequently opposes the Melbourne Cricket Club, which has always managed its affairs satisfactorily. It is possible, he says, that a thoroughly representative Board could be formed, but it is doubtful if it would be any improvement on what the play.er3 have already done, and their mistakes have been few and far between.
