The course was expeedingly heavy an* tihe attendance limited. The . following are the results:— PACIFIC HURDLE RACE, of 70 eovs; one mile-and three-quarters— Wonderful, lOst 81b, i; The Gue3ser, lOst £>ib,. 2; Noxious Weed 9st 3lb. 3. All started. After a splendid struggle Wonderful won by three parts of a length, « neck separating the second and third hc-rses. " Time — 3min 6 2-ssec. Dividends—£6 8s and 12s. BRIGHTON HACK RACE, of 50 soys; five furlongs— Bill Perkins, 7st> 7.b, 1; Cuirossettia, Bst 12lb. 2;Rubretie, 7st 6ib, 3. Oaibhrcn, LelhaJme and Navarre were scratched. Won by half a length. Time— lmin 9sec. Dividends — £24 Its and 16s. BIRTHDAY HANDICAP, of 200 soys; one mile and a quarter — Beau Seaton, 6st 9lb. 1 : Calibre, 7st 18ib, 2 ; Dannie Chiel, 7st 13lb : 3.' Red Gauntlet was scratched. Won by a neck, eight lengths between second and third. Time— 2min 24 4-ssec.
