CONSULAR ADVICES.
TOGO'S REPORT ON THE NAVAtI BATTLE. DEADLY TORPEDO- WORK. (Received June 3, 8.42 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 3. The Japanese Consul's advices cove* Admiral Togo's reports, which stats that the Oslyaba was seriously damag- ■ ed at an early stage of the battle. She left the line and sank at three o'olock. The Sissoi Veliki, the Admiral Nakbimoff and the Vladimir Monomach had suffered heavily by midday, and by night were so damaged by destroyer* and torpedo-boat flotillas that they were completely out of action. They were discovered next' morning drifting near Tsushima, but sank before they could be captured. Their survivor* number about 915. The survivor* wer« rescued by the converted' cruisers and the people on the coast. It is certain from the statements of the prisoners that the Navarin was struck by four torpedoes and sank. The commander of the Nitaka reports that the Svietlana was discovered on the morning of May 28, off Chimuhen Bay, and wat. sunk by the Nitaka and Otowa. The* Aurora is believed to have sunk during the torpedo attack oh i^the night of May 27.
