It is stated that the PostmasterGeneral is experiencing great difficulty, in forwarding the mails on the poundage system, some of the steamers on which he was depending for fast transit insisting on impossible conditions. One of the effects of the Orient Company's steamers not calling at Adelaide will be to make the South Australian mails thirty-six hours late.
