James Bennett, the man accused of shooting another man named) Edgeouoibe at Whatatutu^witk a revolver, was arrested yesterday afternoon, and brought to town. He was charged with shooting with intent, and remanded. It is alleged that provocation had been given to Bennett by a man named Ryan. Edgecumbe's injury is not serious.
