_ 4 ■ THIS DAY. [Per the " Star's " Pigeon Express.] There was a full yarding in all classes at Aldington to-day, owmg, no doubt, to its being a double maTket. There was afeo a larger attendance. The . yarding of store sheep sihowod an increasa in number over entries for wane time past, mare than half being out of tihe wool. Shorn sheep slhowed a decided improvement, biit for ewes and lambs a. sligWtf- easier tone was noticeable. Four amid six-tooth cross-bred wetihers (shorn) brought from 16s 6d to 17b 7d, two and four-tooth do 14s 114, shorn, hoggets from 13s 3d to 15* lOd, ewe do to 17s 3d, aged) cros»-bred ewe? with lambs (0horo) 9s 2d, do (in the wool) from 7s 7d to 9s lOd (all counted). -,■■■■ Fat Sheep. — Ari inorea«ed entry on late salesy- mostly good! to prime sheep. Sale just started. "' . Fat Lambs.— There was by far the .' largest entry of tihe season, nearly -aH of prime quality, but owing to export buyers not competing, aprice« show- a decided drop, ; particularly in secondary soTts. Prime lots made from 17s to 2Ls, others from 13s 9d to 16s. ' :y , • Fat Cattl;E.— Two hundred and thirtynine head were yarded, being -a large increase on. late markets, including on& or two consignment's from the North Island, Bidding was brisk, and an* increase in prices has to be recorded.
