♦— CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, Mat 8. (Before, Mr W. Minson, J.P.j and Mr G. Murray, J.P.) Drunkenness. — Mary M'Kegnie pleaded guilty fro a charge of drunkenness, and asked the Bench to discharge her, stating that she had a railway ticket for Dunedin, and was prepared to go there at once. The Sub-Inspector stated that he ■would be very flad to see the last of the accused, and oped that the Bench would give her a chance to go. She was discharged on the understanding that she should go to Dunedin by the express tram this morning. By-law Cases.— Pot boarding a train while it was in motion Frederick Gleeson was fined 10s and costs.— Josiah Malon© ■was fined 20a and costs for driving a -vehicle on the 'wrong sidle of the road. — James Hiron was fined 10s andi costs for allowing a -hor.se to wandier; and Benjamin Drury wasfinedl ss. and costs for a similar offence, his plea being that soma - larrikins had opened the gate of his pad/dock.— George Ward! "was fined) 5s and costs for allowing flrs chimney to catchi fire.— John Miller was fioed 20s andl costs for driving a vehicle at night -without a light:— Robert Whale •was finedi 5s and costs for driving a vehicle at other than' a walking, pace over the intersection of High andi 'Gashel Streets. — For. leaving vehicles unattended in various parts of tae city, George Lewis, Arthur Wright andl George WiiUiam James Parsons •were each, fined' 20s and! costs. , Offending Cyclists. — For riding their bicycles at night • without lights, John BlacMrarn^Walcot Wood, Hubert Cook, Mortimer O'Grady and John Kennedy were ea^h finedl 10s andi costs. — Fredterdck Martin was finedl 10s and costs for riding a bicycle on the footpath.
