Tin. — On spot £136 ss, per ton, three months' £136 7s od per ton. Lead, £12 Is 9£d per ton. At the wool sales the following clips were sold: — Otairi sgd, Brancepeth 6§d. Silver, 2s o|d per oz. (Received May 8, 12.42 p.m.) The -wool sales were animated, and prices showed a further upward tendency. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office, under date May 7: — "The frozen meat market is very depressed, and prices are lower by to per lb since our last telegram. The frozen lamb market is unfavourably affect- , ed by the large quantity of damaged carcases that are offering. The quantity of new wool to ba admitted to the fourth series of wool sales, which, opens on July 7, is limited to 140,000 bales net."
