Prices for beef ruled at from 25s to 29s per 1001 b. ' Calves. — A iaii' yarding sold at tprioesi ranging from 5s to £3 ss, according to size and quality. Store Sheep.— A smaller entry than usual, numbering 3538, comprised 'a large proportion of lambs and wether*. Prices realised . were a shade better than those previously ruling; and practically the whole of the yarding changed hands. The principal sales were : — Wethers, 229 at 15s 3d, 43 at 153 Id, 49 at 14s 3d, 135 at 13s lOd, 26 at 13s Bdf, 95 at from 10s lid to 13s 3d, 150 at 13s Id, 102 at 115.9 d, 52 at 11s Id ; lambs', 41 at 12s sd, 227 at 10s 6d, 30 at 10s 2d, 214 at 9s 4d, 46 at 9s Id, 34 at 7s 7d, 57 at 7s 4d, 200 at 7s ; ewes, 158 at Us Bd, 32 afc 11s 2a, 112 at 10s Id, 24 at 9s 4d, 79s at Ss Id. , Fat Lambs. — Aboufc 1500 were yanrded, the quality being rather better than usual, prices also being firmer than the previous week. Freezers brought .from,-.. 11s to 14s 6d: tegs, 14s lOd to 159; butchers', 9s to 13s 7d ; a few extra big, 17s 6d, 1 Pigs.— There was a rather small entry of pigg, and a fair sale took place, though prices for porkers were e-asier. Baconers •Drought from -43s t6 65s 6d, equal to 5d tier lb; porkers, 20a to 393, equal to 5d per lb; stores,. 20s to 265 ; small, 14s to 18s ; weanerg, 7s 6d to 12».
