For some time past persons conducting religious services at Warepo. Amd Toro, in the Clutha district, have been disturbed by a few people playing musical instruments and otherwise misbehaving themselves. One of the offenders, a labourer, was yesterday brought before tho Balclutha Court and fined £2, with 10s costs, in default one month's* imprisonment. At a meeting of the Board of Governors last night, Mr Hector, of tho Boys' High School; .reported that 63 boys, who had arrived the primary schools, under the recent' arrangement with the Education Department, showed better material than any previously enrolled in his experience of the school.
