Over 2000 persons attended the Farmers' Union picnic, .promoted by the-v Mar.ion Branch' andi held- at Westoc yesterday. , All the neighbouring branches were represented- 'Speeches were delivered; iby Mr J. G. Wilson, the president of the Union, J. Vile, M.H.R., and several leading farmers. An attractive I sports programme was provided, and the first Union "rally" was a great success.
