MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The monthly meeting of the Tai Tapu Band of Hope waß held in the district schoolroom on Sunday afternoon last. There was a large attendance of members and their friends, andJ Mr J. Voss t the presi- j dent, occupied the chair. The programme j consisted, of songs by Misses N. Herrick and Mildred Voss and: Mr W. K. Watson ; recitations 'by Annie Barnett, Mary r Barnett, Annie Macartney, Qwehnie Michael, Florrie Farrell and Conrad Vossj and a» address by Mr W. R. Devereux, of Christchurch.
