• « Mr James Coppin, one of the oldest residents of Petone t died suddenly yesterday. Mr O. B. Pemberton left for Dunedin by the express train this morning. Sister Mary, the Parish Deaconess of Lyttelton, was recently presented by the pupils of her ambulance classes, numbering s about thirty persons, with a purse of sovereigns, together with an address expressive of their affectionate esteem and their grateful appreciation of the help they had received from her. The Rev J. Ward, Captain Falconer and Mr F. de 0. Malet arrived from Wellington by the s.s. Rotomahana this morning.
