THE NEW ZEALAND CUP.
The time for receiving nomination* for tihe New Zealand Cup has been postponed from to-night until Wednesday, a-t 10 p.m.
The Auckland Racing Club's Grand National meeting -Hill be begun -to-morrow, and, judging by the capital acceptances received. '((he racing should be more than usually interesting. The Steeptechaso forms the principal evenib to be decided, and probably Cavaliero will experience strong opposition from The G-uard and Rufuß. The remainder oi •tlhe events may result somewhat as follows:/— (Maiden Steeplechase, Turn; 'Maiden Welter Handicap, Despatch and Knma; Maiden Hurdle Race, Hippowad and Treshain; Remuera Hurdle ißace, Haydn and Royal Conqueror; Cornwall Handicap, Formula and Matamataiharakiki. Thw Otaki-Maori Racing Club's meeting will be held to-morrow. The following horses may run prominently in rtheir respective engagements: — Raukawa Cup, Convoy and Loch Erin; Rangiuru Handicap, Chasseur and Laurestima; Birthday Handicap, Mussel and En Garde; Hack Hurdle Race, Redshank and Old Gun; Otaki Hack Handicap, Wehenga; Plying Hack Handicap, Raema and Arm*-
