(Received, Dec. 6, 11.24 a.m.) LONDON^ Dec. 5. • The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,140,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,065,000 quarters. \ Bank shares: — Bank of Australasia, ; £73 5s ; National Bank of New Zealand, £3 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile 4 per cent prior lien stock is quoted at 93£. Other stocks ar© unchanged. At the tallow sales 1200 casks were offered and 500 casks sold. Pricea are unchanged. Messrs Daigety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London offic?, under date Dec. s:— "Since our last telegram beef tallow is lower by 3d per cwt; other descriptions (are unchanged. We have confidence in present prices, though the market may go temporarily lower."
