THE MELBOURNE' TEAM.
At the conclusion of the Wellington match the Victorian team will sail for Christchurch, where they play on Friday, Saturday and next Monday. The local Association have guaranteed a considerable sum of money in order to get this team, and the public have no reason to cavil at the team sent. It is a good one, and while no doubt it will beat the separate provinces, the latter will all make a good fi^ht. If Wanganui can almost beat them, our " boys " can also be relied upon to give a good account of themselves.
