UNITED v. LANCASTER PARK.
With three wickets down, for 95 Clarkand Harnian continued the XJnited's innings, but theV'former, played his first ball' on, and wa9 succeeded by Frankish'. The. latter and Hannan put on runs at a. great pace, 14 coming" from one over, until just. after an hour's play, when the score was 188, Frankish was bowled. Shortly afterwards Harman ' placed one in the slips, and was caught. The rest of the team all scored off the weak Park bowling, and the last man was not disposed of until the total was 304. A. Wilding was the only bowler who, at any time, troubled the batsmen. In an hour's play the Park lost four wickets for 49, A. E. Ridley making the majority of the runs by vigorous cricket.
