PIGS AND POULTRY.
Pigs were in fair supply at Saturday's markets, and all classes met A a good sale. Poultrj' were rather scarce, anß high prices were commanded both for table birds and laying hens. Orders for the Wellington and other outside markets could not be filled. Prices were: — Pigs — Baconers 35s to 37s 6d, porkers 23s to 255, stores 18s to 21s, weaners 15s to 17s 6d and suckers 10s 6d to 14s 6d. Poultry— Roosters 4s to ss, hens 3s 3d to 4s 6d, and from 6s to 7s for special sorts ; ducks 4s 6d to 6s ; geese dsto 7s^6d j turkey cocks 14s 6d to 17s 6d and hens 7s 6d to 9s, all at per pair.
