HOCKEY.

A" meeting of the Canterbury Hockey Association waSTield last evening. Correspondence was read — iTrom. tke Wellington and United (Wellington) Hockey Clubs, stating that they would probably visit Ohristcfinrch about Grand National time. It was decided to start the second round of the Saturday competition on -June 17. The Permanent Militia Oiub was affiliated to the Association, and permission was given it to enter a team for the second round of the competition. Postponement Committees were elected for Thursdays — Messrs Samuda, Mansell and Good; and Saturdays — Messrs Goodman, Roxburgh and Withers. A meeting of referees wa£ arranged for Wednesday next, at the rooms of the Young Men's Christian Association.
