A WORD OF COUNSEL TO THE YOUNG PASTORS.
At the Bishop of London's ordination, the sermon was preached by the Rev Canon Fleming, 8.D., vicar of St Michael's, Chester Square, and the occasion was rendered i specially memorable by the preacher's heart-stirring appeal to his younger brethren to make temperance work an integral fart of their Christian ministry. Towards the close of his discourse, he said, " Attend carefully to -the young. Our day schools, i our Sunday schools, our bands of hope, lie at the very foundation of the pyramid. I Strive to make all the jn-roads you can upon : :ignoraiice, -misery, .drinks and vice.. The salvation of -souls is now the most solemn .work- of your life. Put your soul -into the work; do it: with- all your might." ■'
