The house of Mr James Kinley, on Todd's Road, Fern side, was burnt down yesterday •afternoon. Mr Kinley was alone in tho house, his wife being at Papanni, and about 4 p.m. he lighted a fire and put the kettle on to make some tea. While the kettle was boiling he went to a neighbour some distance away to obtain milk, and upon returning found the houee in flames. It was then impossible to save any of the contents. The house was insured in the Liverpool and London and Globe Office for £100, and Mr Kinley believes there is., also a polirfy for .£l5O on the furniture in the same office, but the local agent has no knowledge of its existence! .
