PRESENTATIONS.
On Monday, the members of the Young Men's Club, Lyttelton, presented Mr (T Morris, one of their number, with a hand-' i some clock, silver butter cooler, and silver butter knife on the occasion of his ap- ', proaching marriage. Mr N. C. Schumacher, president of the club, made the presentation, and the recipient suitably I replied. At the opening of Mr Syino's new office, a large member of carriers and cabmen assembled. Mr Howard, on behalf of the committee, presented the president, Mr Syme.with a framed photograph of himself, suitably illuminated by Mr Smith. The office having always' "been used by the society for its meetings, those present determined to assist by furnishing the office on behalf of the society. An enjoyable evening was spent.
