SKIN SALES.

At yesterday's sales of skins, hides, fat, etc., the entries were very large, and competition was good. A number of cut skins seem to be coming into the market, and it is needless to point out that the prices of such skins must suffer. The sales Avere not concluded yesterday, but the following prices wore realised during the day: — Butchers' best merinoes from 5s 3d to 6s 4d, medium do 3s 6d to 4s 9d j butchers' best half-breda 5s to 6s 2d, medium do 4s to 4s 9d ; butchers' best cross-breds 4s 6d to Gs Ocij medium do 3s 9d to 4s Gd. Country slims (dry) sold well at full rates. Butchers' rough fat brought from 10s to 1 2s 10c! per CAvt. Hides are Avithout alters^ tion. •
