ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

By a collision which occurred at the corner of Bowen and Montreal Streets at 2 p.m. to-day, between a New Zealand Farmers Co-operative Association's van and a cab, the step and some wheel spokes of the latter vehicle were smashed, and the horse was considerably knocked about. It appears that the van, which was covered in, was being driven up Montreal Street, and the driver, not noticing that a cab was coming up behind to pass him, turned into Bowen Street. Before the cabman could get out of the way the vehicles were in collision, with the result that the cab was damaged as stated. The vau was not injured.
