For Australian Colonies, via Bluff and Hobart, per express, to connect with Waikare at 10.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m. ; mail van, 11 a.m. train. Due Melbourne Sept. 29 THURSDAY, SEPT. 22. For Northern Ports, Westport, Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, South Africa, etc., also United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, etc., specially addressed via Suez, per Talune, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van 4 p.m. train. Due Sydney Sept. 28; due London Nov. 6.
Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji close at Auckland, per Taviuni, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m. Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti, per Ovalau close at Auckland, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. ' Mails for Fiji close at Auckland, per Upolu Oct. 12, at 4 p.m. ' Mails for South Afrioa leave Melbourne on Sept. 22 and Oct. 14. Mails for Australia, etc., per Aorangi, close at Wellington on Saturday at 11 a.m.
On and after Oct. 1 prox., the commission to be charged on money orders drawn on the United _Kingdom, United States of America, foreign countries, etc., through London, Canada! Germany, Hong Kong (including Japan), Straits Settlements, Ceylon, Cape of Good Hope, India and Hawaii, will be at the rate of sixpence (6d) for every pound (£1) or fraction of a pound (£1). R.
