The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,430 000 quarterß, and for the continent 2,670^000 quarters. Beef fine, 23s ; medium, 21s 6d. ] The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 28,322,000 bushels.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received cable advice as follows : — LONDON, May 25. Tallow. — There is less demand for fine mutton tallow, but there is no improved inquiry for other descriptions. New Zealand good beef tallow is worth 22s 6d per cwt (last quotation was 225). Wheat. — Market is unsteady and fluctuating. New Zealand wheat f.a.q. is worth c.i.f . to arrive 41s per 480lbs (last quotation 1 was 435).
