THE LIBERTY LEAGUE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I have watched your paper to see if there was any notification of the Liberty League expressing its disapproval of the Council's ' action, in interfering .with the speaking in Cathedral Square, but I have searched in vain' Now, just before the general election we were told that the League was formed to protect the liberties of the subject at' all times,' and not simply to protect . the interests of the Liquor Party, from the infringements of the prohibitionists. 'Now, " jfince 1 the' election' I have not once noticed , that they have raised their voice in support of liberty. Are there no infringements taking place ; or must we believe what Isitt, Taylor and Co. told us, that it exists purely and simply for the protection of the liquor ring ?— I am, &c, , ANXIOUS.
