PROPERTY SALE.

Mr F. C. Tabart held a sale of property at noon to-day, which was attended by a large number of farmers and others from

North Canterbury. The first property offered was Mount Arden estate, a portion of the Horsley Down run, and part of the Midland Eailway Lands. The property consisted of 3318 acres of pastural land. Bidding started at £1 per acre, and quickly rose by 2s 6d bids to ,£1 12s 6d, at wliich price it was knocked idown to Mr Harry Little, of Waikari, the total purchase money being .£5391 15s. Mr Tabart next offered the Eagle Hill Estate, at West Oxford, on behalf of Mr j. E. Gorton, containing 1419 acres agricultural and pastoral land, which, however, failed to elicit a bid.
