The ladies' match was then taken, and a large crowd gathered round the 200 yds range. Miss Spiers made excellent shooting and put on 33 out of a possible 35. At the initiative match at Auckland all the ladies, with one exception, fcook the squatting position, but to-day, out of fifteen competitors, fourteen fired from the prone, and the other took the back' position. Miss Spiers's score in- / eluded five bulls and two inners.
