It was ridiculous to suppose that the consumption of drink Had not decreased in the Clutha district siilc« prohibition came in. Mr J. Millar, . M*;H.R., claimed the right to be heard on a- matter of political interference in connection with a police reqnest, and his application was granted for to-morrow.
