POLICE REMUNERATION.
During the hearing of certain charges against a police constable in the Wellington Maoistrate's Court on Monday afternoon it came out that he was in receipt of ,£lO per month, upon which wage he kept himself, his wife, seven children, his own and his wife's mother, paid 12s a week rent, and supplied himself with uniforms.
