CYCLING.
A meeting of the committee of the Christchurch Cycling Club was held last evening in the clubroom, Cashel Street; present— Messrs W. E. Thompson (captain), G. H. Tompkins, G. Harris, C. H. Cotton, E. L. Adams, T. Clarkson, W. G. Williams and A. Hobbs. Messrs •G. H. Eobinson, Frank Smith and Geo. Eankin were elected members of the club. The Railway Department wrote that it had now in use on the various lines speciallyconstructed crates, which would be available at a cost of sixpence each to cyclists using them for the carriage of bicycles. ' The Secretary reported that preliminary arrangements in connection with the club's race meeting to be held oe Good Friday were well in hand, and that there was a probability of intercolonial champions competing in the Easter Wheel Race of 50 soys. In accordance with a communication received from the League of New Zealand Wheelmen, it was decided to change the Five-mile Championship to a Three-mile Championship at the meeting referred to.
