The weather was dull and the wicket soft for the continuation of th§s- cricket match. Bruco retired hurt from a blow from Richardson's bowling. Layer put 19 together before the innings closed, but IJanjitsinhji early missed an easy catch off him. Tho English batsmen hit out freely, but it was not till three wickets were down for S2 and Ranjit3inhji and Hayward got together that any thing like big hitting was seen.
