The Englishmen's play was of a very uneven character. Banjitsinhji was badly missed by Worrall after making a single. With two wickets down for 50, Hay ward and Eanjitsinhji entered into a fine partnership, 145 appearing before a dissolution was effected. Eanjitsinhji's innings, however, was of an uncertain character. The second century was just turned when Hay ward wa3 dismissed. The next three men were dismissed without scoring.
