THE PRICE OF WHEAT.
Timaru was much mor» lively on Saturday, market day, than for .many months past. The state of the wheat market accounted for this. Buyers were evidently anxious to do business at 4s for best sorts, but most holdors were disinclined to sell at bhat figure. The rise in wheat gave a fillip to the horse market, and Saturday's sale was more spirited than it had been for ei long time past.
