[P_R PRBaS ASSOCIATION. I DUNEDIN, March 11. Thomas M'Loughlin was committed for trial to-day for uttering a forged cheque for £9. The cheque was signed George M'Donald,. and was on the National Bank, Milton, but no man of that name had an account at the Bank. Detective O'Brien pointed out that a man was held to be. innocent till proved guilty, with onesingular exception. If a man had stolen property in his. possession he had to show that he came legally by it. It was for the defence to show who George M'Donald. really was.
