AMBERLEST. There vas a large . sale of sheep at Amberley yesterday, and the most successful that has been held foi some time, the rain of last week and the occasional showers since having stimulated competition.. Out of 10,174 sheep entered, only two small lines were unsold, and the prices marked an advance of Is to 2s on those lately current. The Stonyhurst draft was the leading feature of the sale. The twotooth cross-bred wethers, very forward, sold at 103. 7 d, and stores 9s Id; full-mouth ewes averaged about 6s 2d, two-tooth ewes Cs 4d, Lincoln two-tooth ewes 9s, and sound-mouth merino ewes 3s 9d to 4s 6d. The' run of prices for the sale was :—Crossbred ewes, full-mouth, 5s lOd to 7s, twotooth 6=i 6d to Bs, four-tooth 7s to 9s Bd, six-tooth 6s lOd to Bs, aged 4s to 5s 6d; merino ewes, sound-mouth, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; cross-bred wethers, two-tooth 7s to 8s 6d, two and four-tooth 7s 6d to 8s 6d, fourtooth 8s to 9s 8d ; freezers to 10s 9d ; store lambs, good 5s 4d to 6s lOd, medium 4s to 5s 3d.
