«. [Pan Pbess Association."! AUCKLAND, March 7. The Auckland Polo Club's sports and races were not largely attended. The Auckland Polo Cup was won by Mr A. Harrison's Nellie (TV. Gordon) ; Mr C. E. Purchas's Chance It (Bloomfield), 2 ; Mr H. C. Tonks's Maxim (Owner), 3. The Bending competition was won by Mr H. C. Tonks's Makarau (Owner) ; Mr E. D. O'Rorke's Retan (Gordon), 2. In the match Auckland v. Waingaroa, the home team won by nine goals to nil. The A*ackland team was a strong one, comprising three of Auckland's representative players.
