RANGIORA.
Tuesday, March 8. (Before Mr W. H. Bishop, S.M.) Neglect to Clear Gobse. — The cast against G. Gorrie, for neglecting to cleai gorse from fcheroad, adjourned from Feb. I to enable him to do the work, was called but defendant did not appear. G. Hick man, clerk to the Kowai Road Board! stated that defendanthad done very little to wards clearing the gorse. A fine of £1 anc costs was inflicted. In a similar case againsi William Kitchie, who died not appear, s fine of .£1 and costs was entered up. Th< Stipendiary Magistrate remarked that continued neglect of the order rendered the parties liable to a fine of £1 per day til •the completion of the work. '. Maintenance.'— Mary Quill summonee her husband, Patrick Quill, to contribute towards her support. Mr Scott appearec for defendant. The case was adjournec for a week.
