SENIOR CUP.
LANCASTEE PARK ELEVEN v. MIDLAND ELEVEN. This game was concluded at Lancaster Park on Saturday, and ended in a win for the Lancaster Park Eleven by five wickets. The Lancastrians, who, in their second innings required 48 runs to win, and had lost two wickets for no score, continued batting. They commenced very disastrously, as with the score at a small total Cobcroft was brilliantly caught at long leg by Miller off Eeese. North and Boxshall departed without adding materially to the score, and the telegraph board showing five wickets down for 21, matters looked none too rosy for Lancaster Park. However, at this juncture Wilding and A. E. Bidley became associated, and both playing with characteristic dash and vigour, hit off the required runs. The Melding of the Midlanders was very good indeed, while D. Eeese bowled really well. Messrs "\V. D. Meares and E. Spencer acted as umpires. The following are the scores : — MIDLAND ELEVEN.
