STODDART'S COMPLAINTS.
United Press Association— By Eloctiic Telegraph— \ Copyright. Keeeived March 6, 4.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Mauch C. Stoddart's complaints sowed the seeds of an abundant crop of letters in the Press. The principal contention of writers and in cricketing circles is that nothing occurred outside the usual and inevitable "barracking," and only over-sensitiveness could construe this into insults or affronts. The treatment was no worse than Australians received at the hands of English crowds, but Australians are not thinskinned enough to cavil at it.
The various local competitions were continued on Saturday in splendid weather, and the wickets were, on the whole, good. The Senior Cup match between Lancaster Park Eleven and Midland Eleven, ended in a win for the Park by five wickets. So far as it has gone, the -game between Sydenham and Addington Thirteen and Lancaster Park Thirteen is slightly in favour of the latter team. After these games the final round of the Senior Cup competition was commenced. Both the Midland Eleven and the United Thirteen monopolised the remainder of the aftßrnoon in their games with the Sydenham and Addington Thirteen and the Lancaster Park Tliirteen respectively, and the United Eleven has, up to the present, all the worst of the play in its match against the Lancaster Fark Eleven.
