A match was played at Lyttelton on Saturday between teams representing Melrose and Lyttelton, and resulted in a win for the latter by fifty games, as follows : — A. Taylor and Miss Miller (L) beat Baxter and Miss Fabling (M), 9-2. K. A. Henderson and Miss Lewis (L) beat S. Longuet and Miss Mutt' (M), 9-0. Hamilton and Miss Just (L) beat Dunnage and Mrs Marshall (M), 9-2. K. Tayler and C. Pavitt (L) beat Baxter and S. Longuet (M), 9-4. Hamilton and K. Henderson (L) ! beat S. Longuet and Dunnage (M), 9-8. Sawle and J. Pavitt (L) beat Marshall and Hobbs (M), 9 7. Marshall and Hobbs (M) beat J. Pavitt and Hamilton (L), 6-5. Mrs Chambers and Miss Galbraith (L) beat Misses Clarkson and Watkins (M\ 6-1. Misses Miller and Lewis (L) beat Misses Fabling and Mntf (M), 6-1.
