A quarterly meeting of the Avon Licensing Committee was held at the Linwood Borough Council Chambers at noon on Saturday ; present — Messrs R. Beetham, S.M. (chairman), M'lntyre, Dilloway, Nicholls and Horsley. The following transfers were approved: — New Brighton Hotel from Timothy Lyons to J. Miller, Bower Hotel from G-. H. Pierce to Timothy Lyons. An application from P. Burke for a provisional license for the New Brighton racecourse was granted.
